Description
The bitumen sealing machine is a machine suitable for sealing road cracks and edges where it is necessary to avoid any infiltration of water to guarantee a longer service life of asphalt.
The machine is composed of a metal structure containing a bitumen melting boiler completely insulated by rock wool and mounted on wheels (2 pcs. pneumatic front wheels and 2 pcs. pivoting rear wheels).
The machine is suitable for melting modified bitumen ingots inserted through an upper door; heating occurs through a GPL stainless steel burner having a high heat value; moreover, there is an internal thermometer enabling the operator to control the temperature of the material.
To quicken the heating phase, the machine is equipped with a stirring system, operated manually, enabling the operator to keep the material moving inside it.
As soon as a temperature of 160°C is reached, modified bitumen will be completely liquid and ready for use; it comes out of a tap that is opened and closed by a lever placed in front of the operator.
The operator can accurately seal road cracks and edges (even non longitudinal ones) by simply following the direction thereof thanks to pivoting wheels.
