Description
The mixer for recycling MCR asphalt is a machine specifically designed for mixing milled asphalt and recycled asphalt crusts; in doing so, (low-cost) recycled material can be used for closing holes and repairing any uneven rod bed.
The machine is directly mounted on the customer’s truck (available in 2 models according to the dimensions and capacity of the truck).
The MCR mixer enables the operator to mix milled asphalt and to melt crusts at temperatures generally ranging from 140°C to 160°C.
To obtain a material having excellent mechanical and wear-resistant features, it is necessary to put the recycled material (milled asphalt or asphalt crusts) into the mixer in the right percentage and to add inerts, bitumen and additives, according to the material that has been put inside.
These materials may be added through the upper loading hatch manually, by using mechanical devices or conveyor belts at production plants.
When recycled material is in use, it is important to have maximum accuracy in controlling the quantities that have been added; for this reason, the MCR mixer is equipped with 4 pcs. electronic load cells enabling the operator to weigh every single component.
Once loaded, the mixer will heat and stir the material by reaching the temperature set-point so as to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
Heating is adjustable by means of a digital display and 2 pcs. gas oil burners, supplied at 12 or 24V DC whereas stirring occurs through a special high-torque planetary ratiomotor.
Once mixed, the product is discharged through a hatch that can be operated either manually or through hydraulic cylinders.
The result is a top-quality asphalt, available in all seasons, enabling the operator to repair holes and any damage to the rod bed in full autonomy without having to apply to any production plant, practically and at a lower cost.
It can be laid down either manually or through finishing machines.
This line of machines enables Bruno Group to meet the needs of all small- and medium-size companies carrying out road maintenance in towns, along municipal and provincial roads where it is necessary to act promptly and at low cost throughout the year.
